Chris Wedding (Toms River/TR East) stroked a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift Richard Stockton (15-15, 4-12) to a 7-6 victory over Rowan (19-11-1, 8-7) in an NJAC game. Earlier, Nick Scalise (Northfield/Mainland) slugged a dramatic two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to pull Stockton into a 6-6 tie and force extra innings.

Rowan scored three runs in the fifth inning for a 6-3 lead, but Stockton got a run back on an RBI single by Nick DiGirolamo (Dumont/Dumont) in the bottom of the sixth to get within 6-4. In the bottom of the ninth, Wedding reached base on an error with one out and Scalise followed with a clutch two-run homer to left field that knotted the game at 6-6.

DiGirolamo later singled with one out in the bottom of the 10th and advanced to third base on a two-out single by Jay Merulla (Logan Twp./Kingsway). Wedding then singled through the right side and DiGirolamo scored the winning run in the 7-6 Stockton triumph. Merulla went 3-5 with a double and two RBI overall, extending his current hitting streak to 11 games. Matt Hunt (Marlton/St. Joseph) also was 2-4 with a run scored for the Ospreys.
