Stockton 17, Mount St. Vincent 7

Richard Stockton (8-4, 3-1) scored the first seven goals of the game and rolled to a 17-7 victory over Mount St. Vincent (5-6, 0-3) in a Skyline Conference game. Keith Bologno (Glen Gardner/ Voorhees) led the Ospreys with a game-high five goals and one assist. Brendan McCarthy (Howell/Howell) and Matt Bologno (Glen Gardner/Voorhees) each tallied two goals and an assist. Stockton goalie Pete Marcelliano (Morristown/Mendham) made four saves against two goals allowed in 45 minutes played.

Keith Bologno and Josh Dybus (Lyndhurst/St. Peter’s Prep) scored two goals apiece as Stockton broke out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Mount St. Vincent got on the board 1:43 into the second quarter, but the Ospreys responded with six consecutive goals for a 13-1 score. Keith Bologno netted three markers and Matt Bologno added one during the outburst. The Ospreys led by double digits for the entire second half and cruised to the 17-7 win.

Stockton also celebrated “Dick Rizk Appreciation Night” with a pre-game ceremony and post-game reception honoring head coach Dick Rizk who is retiring at the end of the season after 18 years at Stockton. Rizk, a member of the New Jersey Lacrosse Hall of Fame, will conclude a career that has spanned over 40 years of coaching at the high school and college levels.
