Varsity Four Wins at Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships

Richard Stockton competed in three events at the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference Championships in York, Pennsylvania. The Stockton unit of Michelle Elberson (Atlantic City/Atlantic City), Laura O’Donnell (Mt. Laurel/Lenape), Ceili Bachman (Lincoln, PA/Avon Grove), Melanie Whalen (Long Valley/West Morris Central) and coxswain Ariel Hernandez (Hammonton/ Hammonton) won the varsity four with a time of 8:12.50.

Elberson and Whalen earned All-Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference honors for the Ospreys. Stockton also finished second in the petite final of the varsity eight with a time of 8:10 66 that was just one-tenth of a second behind event-winner Johns Hopkins. The Ospreys’ novice four posted a time of 10:00.73 and fell to Mary Washington in a head-to-head race.
