Richard Stockton junior Lisa Shepherd (Mays Landing/ Oakcrest) earned All-American honors for the fourth time in her career by tying for third place in the high jump at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships. Shepherd registered a best jump of 1.67 meters (5’5.75”) and tied for third place with Kristen Serikstad of SUNY Cortland. Ashley Huston of Hardin-Simmons won the high jump out of 25 competitors at 1.70 meters. The meet was held at Marietta College (OH).

Shepherd has qualified for All-American status by finishing in top eight in all four of her trips to the NCAA Championships (three outdoor, one indoor). She joined five-time All-American pole vaulter Kim Marino as the only Stockton female track & field competitors with at least four All-American honors.

Shepherd won the high jump at four meets during the 2009 outdoor season and equaled her season best with the jump of 1.67 meters at the NCAA meet. She was the NCAA runner-up both indoors and outdoors last year, and she finished eighth at the NCAA Outdoor Championship as a freshman in 2007.
