Delaware Valley (1-0) spoiled new Richard Stockton (0-1) head coach Michelle Andre’s debut with a 7-1 victory over the Ospreys in the season opener for both teams. Bernadette Jablonoski (Cherry Hill/Paul VI) scored the lone Stockton goal late in the first half with an assist by Nancy White (Ocean City/Ocean City). Delaware Valley outshot the Ospreys 40-6 in the game and Stockton goalkeeper Debi O’Kane (Cologne/Absegami) registered 27 saves.

Delaware Valley scored a pair of early goals two minutes apart for a 2-0 lead just 8:06 into the game. In the second half, the Aggies quickly added two more tallies 49 seconds apart for a 4-0 advantage four minutes into the period. Jablonoski answered with Stockton’s first goal of the new season, assisted by White, less than two minutes later at 40:24 but Delaware Valley tacked on three more strikes for the 7-1 final score.
