Stockton Undefeated in Osprey Classic

Richard Stockton (5-2) won all three of its matches on its home court as host of the Osprey Classic. The Ospreys first swept Gwynedd-Mercy 25-9, 25-6, 25-12 and then topped Franklin & Marshall 25-21, 25-20, 25-16. Stockton concluded play in the round-robin tournament with a 25-7, 25-3, 25-6 sweep of Penn State Abington.

Christine Velott (Moorestown/Moorestown) led the Ospreys to victory over Gwynedd-Mercy with 12 kills and seven digs while Jackie Aldrich (Westhampton Beach, NY/ Westhampton Beach) dished 14 assists. Velott paced Stockton over Franklin & Marshall with seven kills and eight digs and Christine Astarita (Selden, NY/Newfield) scooped 23 digs. Julia Fagan (New Britain, CT/New Britain) slammed nine kills and Kate Berninger (Midland Park/Midland Park) handed out 16 assists versus Penn State Abington.
