Stockton Teams Win Meets on Home Course

Richard Stockton won the men’s Osprey Open and the women’s NJAIAW Championship on its home course. Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the men’s 6K race (19:11.53), followed by Matt Ardelean (Margate/Atlantic City) in second place (20:02.80) and Jim Codianni (Medford/ Shawnee) in third place (20:19.75) as the Ospreys swept the top three spots. Nate George (Galloway/Absegami) finished fifth (20:40.49) in the 57-runner field.

Meredith Malloy (Hamilton/Hamilton West) led Stockton to the team victory in the women’s race by finishing fourth (24:24.71) out of 59 runners. Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) was next across the finish line, placing fifth overall (24:41.08). Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/Bound Brook) led a group of three consecutive Stockton finishers by placing ninth (25:37.79). Jill Leaness (Plymouth Meeting, PA/Plymouth Whitemarsh) followed in 10th place (25:58.67) and then Nicole Salge (Spotswood/Spotswood) finished 11th (26:18.42) for the Ospreys.
