Stockton Splits Four Matches at Susquehanna

Richard Stockton (15-7) split its four matches at the Susquehanna Crusader Classic over the weekend and freshman Stephanie Warner (Totowa/Passaic Valley) was named to the All-Tournament Team for the Ospreys. On Friday, Christine Velott (Moorestown/Moorestown) led Stockton to a 25-14, 25-21, 25-18 sweep of Rowan with 12 kills. Warner added eight kills and two aces in the match.

The Ospreys then defeated Montclair State 28-26, 25-21, 24-26, 25-16 behind 18 kills by Velott and nine from Warner. Laura Hausman (Bethlehem, PA/Catasauqua) tallied 22 assists against Rowan and 23 helpers versus Montclair State.

Stockton dropped a pair of five-set matches on Saturday. Susquehanna edged the Ospreys 25-19, 24-26, 25-23, 21-25, 15-8. Velott and Warner slammed 17 and 13 kills respectively for Stockton. York (PA) then topped the Ospreys 18-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-23, 15-8 despite 14 kills by Velott and 12 kills from Anna Streicher (Marlton/Cherokee).
