Stockton Women Second, Men Fifth in CTC Championships

Richard Stockton finished second out of 12 women’s team and fifth out of 13 men’s teams as the Ospreys hosted the Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) Championships in damp, raw conditions. Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the men’s eight-kilometer race (26:13.81) for his third victory of the season. Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) was the top female finisher for Stockton, placing fifth overall (24:11.70) in the women’s six-kilometer race.

Two additional Stockton women finished in the top 20 for the second-place Ospreys. Meredith Malloy (Hamilton/Hamilton West) finished ninth (24:27.65) while Katherine Rudy (Bound Brook/Bound Brook) placed 20th (25:15.45) in the 124-runner field. Freshmen Matt Ardelean (Margate/Atlantic City) and Alex Bruno (Voorhees/Eastern) finished 14th (27:09.70) and 23rd (27:28.16) respectively out of 151 runners in the men’s race.
