Stockton Hosts NJAC Championships; Women Third, Men Fifth

Richard Stockton hosted the 2009 NJAC Championships, with the Stockton women finishing third and the Osprey men placing fifth out of seven teams in each race. Meredith Malloy (Hamilton/Hamilton West) and Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/ Mainland) earned NJAC All-Conference First Team honors by placing fifth (24:08.54) and sixth (24:10.48) respectively in the women’s race. Malloy also ran to an NJAC First Team spot last year.

Matt Ardelean (Margate/Atlantic City) and Jim Codianni (Medford/Shawnee) captured NJAC All-Conference Second Team kudos by finishing 11th (27:34.51) and 12th (27:39.14) respectively in the men’s race. A pair of freshmen were the third scoring runners for both Stockton teams. Emily Capille (Port Republic/Oakcrest) placed 25th (26:11.84) in the women’s race while Alex Bruno (Voorhees/Eastern) finished 32nd (29:01.35) in the men’s race.
