Boxscore Velott smacked five kills and Aldrich tallied eight assists in the opening set, which the Ospreys closed with an 11-3 run to win 25-14. In the second set, Velott capped a six-point run with a kill to put Stockton on top 8-2. Another kill by Velott later began a 7-0 run that gave the Ospreys a 20-5 advantage on the way to a 25-8 rout. Tabitha Nejman (Runnemede/OLMA) and Becca Sims (Medford/Shawnee) each posted a kill and a block early in the third set as Stockton raced out to a 6-0 lead. Velott and Best finished with four kills apiece in the set as Stockton clinched its 22nd straight home win, 25-12. The Ospreys advanced to the NJAC championship match at Montclair State, where Stockton will play for its second consecutive league title and third in four years. |
