Stockton rewards academic success through a generous scholarship program. Accepted freshmen are considered for scholarships based on class rank and SAT scores. Transfer students are considered for scholarship based on previous college performance.

FRESHMAN AWARDS

Presidential Scholarship

$18,000

SAT: 1,400+ (Critical Reading and Math combined)

Class Rank: top 5%

 

Provost's Scholarship

$11,000

SAT: 1,250+ (Critical Reading and Math combined)

Class Rank: top 10%

 

Dean's Scholarship

$7,000

SAT: 1,150+ (Critical Reading and Math combined)

Class Rank: top 15%

 

Stockton Scholarship

$2,000 and up based on credentials

For students with a record of outstanding academic and cocurricular accomplishments.

TRANSFER AWARDS

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship*

Membership in PTK Honor Society required.

$1,000 and up based on credentials

GPA minimum: 3.5
All college transcripts used to calculate cumulative GPA

 

*Students must transfer directly from PTK institution.  Full-time enrollment only: 12 credits or more per semester.

 

Excellence in Academics Award*

For students transferring from traditional 4-year institutions.

30 or more earned credits required.

All college transcripts will be used to calculate cumulative GPA.

$1,000 and up based on credentials

GPA minimum: 3.5

 

*Full-time enrollment only; 12 or more credits per semester.  Does not apply to students who have already earned a bachelor's degree.

Please note: NJ STARS recipients are not eligible for the Phi Theta Kappa or Excellence in Academics awards.

Scholarship eligibility will be reviewed at the end of each semester to determine continued eligibility. You must maintain a cumulative 3.0 grade point average to retain your scholarship. If your cumulative GPA falls below 3.0, you will lose your award for the following semesters until your GPA reaches a 3.0 or better - at that point the scholarship will be reinstated for the next semester.

Freshman scholarships cover a maximum of 128 credits or eight semesters of undergraduate studies, whichever is completed first. Transfer scholarships cover the number of credits taken at Stockton to complete the 128-credit degree.

Housing is guaranteed for a four-year undergraduate career for Presidential, Provost’s, and Dean’s scholars.

  


OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS

RSCNJ Foundation Scholarships for Returning Students
Through the Office of College Development, The RSCNJ Foundation, through the Office of College Development, offers numerous scholarships to those students who are already enrolled at the college based on their academic merit and/or financial need. Basic eligibility requirements are similar to those mentioned for the Freshman and Transfer Scholarships noted above. However, some Foundation Scholarships are offered with special stipulations, such as enrollment in a particular study program. Students must apply for these scholarships. Application deadline is the friday before spring break.
