PRE-SCHOOL – GRADE 3 ENDORSEMENT PROGRAM
BEGINNING SPRING 2009

The Pre-School – Grade 3 endorsement program is a 15 credit graduate level program designed for teachers planning to work with children from three years of age through eight in a variety of school settings. Required courses focus on a developmentally appropriate curricula and instructional practices needed to be an effective early childhood teacher.

EDUC 5151  Language and Motor Development Birth-8
EDUC 5152  Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment of the Young Child
EDUC 5153  Curriculum, Instruction, Assessment in Primary Grades

Admission Requirements:

• An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
• A minimum grade point average of 2.75
• A teaching certificate
• Valid Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or Miller Analogies Test (MAT)
  scores (the MAT is offered at Stockton)
