Diurnal Ice Storage and other Phase Change Materials
The first half of this session will be an overview of the current state-of-the-art in design and implementation of diurnal ice storage systems. Design criteria and appropriate application, and several case studies will be presented. The second half of the session will be an overview of other phase change materials both in storing thermal energy in HVAC systems and also incorporation in building materials. Specific attention will be given to desiccant heat recovery systems and building materials.
