Material Safety Data Sheets

Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) for all products in campus are kept current in the Central File in H-221 by the Right -To - Know (RTK) Clerk.

Hazardous Substance Fact Sheets (HSFS) for all hazardous substances, issued by the State of New Jersey, are also kept in the Central File (H-221).

In addition, every area where these products are present and used, keep the corresponding MSDSs. A complete file with MSDSs of products used in the Academic Laboratories can be found in F-001.

RTK Public Access System

The New Jersey RTK Public Access System is a comprehensive database of hazardous substances information collected from private employers on the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Community Right to Know Survey and from public employers on the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS), Right to Know Survey. The system also contains and allows for downloading of the Right to Know Hazardous Substance Fact Sheets.

Internet

The Right to Know Program is posting new and revised Hazardous Substance Fact Sheets on the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Internet web pages. The file size for each document is approximately 38 KB.

The Fact Sheets are in Adobe PDF (Portable Document Format) files. This format preserves the two column and graphical format of each document and looks just like the printed document. To view a PDF file one needs the free Adobe Acrobat Reader.
