Melaku Lakew joined Stockton College in 1982, as a professor of economics. He has been involved in several curriculum transforming grant-writing projects at the college. Melaku is the co-author of two successful major grant to the National Science Foundation to infuse quantitative skills across the curriculum. In the mid- eighties he was also one of the major players in internationalizing the curriculum in the college. His South African Study Tour program is quite popular among a large number of students.
