Sister’s Christmas Catechism
December 5 • Saturday • 7:30pm

It’s “CSI” meets Bethlehem! The infamous Sister of Late Nite Catechism is back and on the case, solving the greatest story never told: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold. Sister sets the tone in her opening, “We know what happened to the myrrh and the frankincense - Mary used them as a sort of potpourri. They were in a barn, after all. But who was the culprit who made off with the gold coins and left Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus in that lousy stable without any chance to upgrade to a suite?”

The Bay-Atlantic Symphony Brass Quintet connects the audience with sounds familiar to Americans from across the generations. Re-discover Aaron Copland’s touchstone work, Appalachian Spring, in a brand new conception for dance. The piece was originally written without story-line as a ballet for Martha Graham. This performance returns to Copland’s original, more abstract conception as a starting point and shares brand new possibilities of interpreting the work with a world premiere dance performance to this American classic.
