Sister’s Christmas Catechism

It’s “CSI” meets Bethlehem! The infamous Sister of Late Nite Catechism is back and on the case, solving the greatest story never told: The Mystery of the Magi’s Gold. Sister sets the tone in her opening, “We know what happened to the myrrh and the frankincense - Mary used them as a sort of potpourri. They were in a barn, after all. But who was the culprit who made off with the gold coins and left Mary, Joseph and the infant Jesus in that lousy stable without any chance to upgrade to a suite?”

South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble
Holiday Concert
December 7 • Monday • 7:30pm
The South Jersey Area Wind Ensemble will present a concert entitled "A Holiday to Remember." In addition to traditional holiday music, the 65 member concert band, under the direction of Keith W. Hodgson, will premiere a work for choir and band entitled Christmas Medley. The Mainland Choral Society, under the direction of James Grant, will perform the work's jazz vocal parts as well as other vocal/band selections. The program will also commemorate Pearl Harbor Day with America the Beautiful, At Dawn they Slept and a salute to veterans. This concert can be enjoyed by all ages.

The entire family will be captivated by the timeless story of little Clara, the young girl who receives The Nutcracker as a gift, and her enchanted dream of Princes, Princesses, Sugarplums and Toy Soldiers.

Bay-Atlantic Symphony
“Rediscovering America”

The Bay-Atlantic Symphony Brass Quintet connects the audience with sounds familiar to Americans from across the generations. Re-discover Aaron Copland’s touchstone work, Appalachian Spring, in a brand new conception for dance. The piece was originally written without story-line as a ballet for Martha Graham. This performance returns to Copland’s original, more abstract conception as a starting point and shares brand new possibilities of interpreting the work with a world premiere dance performance to this American classic.
