GALLOWAY TWP, NJ – Dr. Harvey Kesselman, CEO of the Southern Regional Institute and Educational Technology Center (ETTC) of The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey has been reappointed to the New Jersey Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA).

The independent agency of the State of New Jersey, HESAA is responsible for providing students and their families with the financial and informational resources to pursue education beyond high school.  These include, but are not limited to, grants scholarships, loans, a college savings plan, and public service programs.

Dr. Kesselman of Mays Landing, was reappointed for a third term in one of the last actions of Acting Governor Richard J. Cody. He is one of five representatives on the Authority’s Board from New Jersey institutions of higher education and the only representative from the senior public college sector. Administration of the board also includes the other sectors of the higher education community as well as students and members of the public.

Kesselman, who teaches and has held numerous administrative and executive-level positions at Stockton, is uniquely qualified to serve on the board.  He is a former Director of the College’s Educational Opportunity Fund, and he formerly headed the division of Stockton College responsible for overseeing all financial aid and student services.  He is a nationally-recognized expert on campus judicial process and higher education issues such as equal access to education, student development and retention and the infusion of technology into the classroom and the curriculum.
