GALLOWAY TWP., NJ – The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey will conduct formal opening ceremonies to mark the beginning of Black History Month at the College on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 9 a.m. in the Circle in front of the Arts and Science Building here.  Parking is available in the adjacent lot (parking lot 1.)


The event, free and open to the public, is sponsored by Stockton’s Unified Black Students Society (UBSS.)


There will be a flag-raising ceremony with a short presentation, followed by a program in the Upper G-Wing Lounge (approximately 9:30 a.m.)


President Herman J. Saatkamp is scheduled to deliver a speech, and remarks will be given by representatives of UBSS.
