As you may have read in the news, there was an advisory released on April 7th concerning an exploit named Heartbleed that affected many servers on the Internet. The BlackBoard server was affected by this exploit but has been patched.

As a precaution, we strongly advise that you change your password at your earliest convenience. To change your password, click on the My Account option within the Portal. If you have any questions, please contact the Computer Services Help Desk.
