Richard Stockton opened the 2012 outdoor track & field season by hosting the Stockton Invitational. The Ospreys won a total of nine events, led by Kevin Miller (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) with two victories.

Miller won the javelin (54.97m) and discus (42.58m) and also finished second in the hammer throw (37.47m) and third in the shot put (11.91m).

Ryan Mazzeo (Marmora/Ocean City) won the pole vault (3.95m) and freshman Tim Miller (Tuckerton/ Pinelands) took the high jump (1.98m).

On the track, Alex Bruno (Voorhees/Eastern) was first across the finish line in the 5000m (16:12.38) and Randy Faiges (Bayville/Central Regional) won the 3000m steeplechase (10:06.61). Stockton also captured the men’s 800m sprint medley relay (1:39.98).

The Stockton women’s team won a pair of track events. Laura Warren (Bellmawr/Triton) cruised to a 51-second win in the 3000m steeplechase (12:42.53).

Morgan Sinclair (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) posted a victory by 23 seconds in the 3000m (11:04.27). The Stockton teams also collected 13 second-place finishes.
