Richard Stockton competed in the second meet of the outdoor season, the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener University. The meet was very large, with close to 20 entrants in the smaller events and over 100 in the large ones.

Freshman Tim Miller (Tuckerton/Pinelands) was Stockton’s top performer as he finished as part of a three-way tie for first place in the high jump (1.90m). Randy Faiges (Bayville/ Central Regional) placed third in the 3000m steeplechase (9:47.81).

Kevin Miller (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) finished fourth out of 33 throwers in the discus (46.16m) and Dan Hemmerlin (West Milford/West Milford) tied for seventh in the high jump (1.75m).

Meagan Simmons (Manahawkin/Southern) led the Osprey women’s team, placing sixth in the triple jump (10.36m).

Three of her teammates earned seventh place in an event. Morgan Sinclair (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) finished seventh out of 33 runners in the 5000m (18:52.48).

Laura Warren (Bellmawr/Triton) placed seventh in the 3000m steeplechase (12:46.27) and freshman Christine Eiserle (Jackson/Msgr. Donovan) finished seventh out of 28 in the javelin (35.94m).
