Marc Lowenstein earned a PhD in philosophy from the University of Rochester. He was a faculty member in philosophy at Stockton in the late 1970s and since then has held a succession of administrative positions at the college, ranging from Divisional Administrator in General Studies to Dean of Professional Studies. He has published a number of influential papers on academic advising.
