Stockton Dominates Osprey Open

Results
Richard Stockton dominated the Osprey Open on its home track, winning a total of 18 events including two wins apiece for three Ospreys. Mahogany Mitchell (Atlantic City/Atlantic City) led the Stockton women, winning the hammer throw (46.46m) and shot put (10.82m) and placing second in the discus (35.35m). Demetrius Rooks (Galloway/Absegami) paced the Stockton men with victories in the 400m (49.03 sec.) and 400m hurdles (53.97 sec.) plus a second-place finish in the 200m (22.28 sec.).

Wes Warriner (Pleasantville/Holy Spirit) won shot put (14.50m) and hammer throw (40.15m) for the Ospreys. Abad Akhtar (Brigantine/Atlantic City) won the 5000m (15:13.71) and Ryan Mazzeo (Marmora/Ocean City) captured the pole vault (3.95m). Chris Huch (Tuckerton/Pinelands) took the high jump (1.93m) and Ben Hammond (Williamstown/ Williamstown) won the triple jump (13.60m). Kevin Miller (Mays Landing/Oakcrest) and Jose Ramos (Vineland/ Vineland) won the discus (42.58m) and javelin (53.63m) respectively.

Robyn Evangelist (Northfield/Mainland) won the 1500m (4:50.63) and Shelley Gibney (Shamong/Seneca) prevailed in the 400 hurdles (1:06.64). Nikki Stratton (Stratford/Sterling) won the long jump (5.14m) and Victoria Barden (Bayville/Central) triumphed in the high jump (1.63m). Jill Shaner (Egg Harbor Twp./EHT) won the javelin (42.74m) and Rachel Joseph (Livingston/Livingston) captured the pole vault (3.35m) as the Ospreys won nearly half of the events at the meet.
