Sexual Violence

Sexual assault and other forms of sexual violence are crimes prohibited under Title IX of the Education Amendments and under Stockton University Policy. Every member of the University community has a right to an environment void of coercion and assault. Stockton University seeks a safe and healthy environment for all community members and visitors. A willingness to recognize the dignity and worth of each person is essential to the University’s mission. It is the responsibility of each person affiliated with the institution to respect the personal dignity of others.

Any person can be a potential sexual assault victim; assaults can happen anywhere, at any time. The consequences are numerous, long lasting and painful.

Resources for assistance and support are available both on campus and in the community. The University's Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity provides information about sexual misconduct and information regarding confidential reporting and more. A Victim's Bill of Rights and more information are found in the Student Handbook.
